Will try to buy 1,000 shares of HELE (Helen of Troy Limited) on Nasdaq at $135.50. It was trading a bit above $139.00 all Friday and closed a bit higher than that. I tried getting filled on Friday, but did not. I will try again next week. $135 is the Support level. Price should consolidate for a few days next week. If I get 1,000 shares at 135.50 per share, then will likely sell at $144.40.

I am also going to split up the trading into two different portfolios. The reason for that is Low Priced shares of rather unknown companies can be a good vehicle for trading. My problem has been that you cannot get large quantity orders filled because their trading volume is too low. That situation could also come back and bite one, when they try to sell or quickly Dump a large number of shares. For example the 1 Million shares of Twitter was no problem to get filled. When I want to sell, it will also not be an issue. I’ll post the other stocks that I had posted about on our Facebook page.
So we’ll have the Regular Portfolio and we’ll have a New Trader Portfolio. The Twitter Trade is part of the Regular Portfolio. The low price shares will go into the New Trader Portfolio. This way I can pick up 1,000 shares without issue. One thing which I had picked up on and is my opinion that the more shares that you can buy, the higher your Potential capital Gains can be – and yes the Higher that your capital Losses can be. IMHO high priced stocks are not as volatile as their low cost cousins.
Ok back to Twitter. Twitter released their latest Quarterly result which beat street estimates. Fundamentals look great. The price had Gapped up – positive Technical sign especially when the price is in an extended Up Trend. So I bought One Million shares of TWTR on Nasdaq for an average cost of $39.30 per share.
Note the Low made on July 24 2018 at $41.59. That is my initial Target. There is greater resistance just above at $42.50 – another target would be just below that, say at $42.40. If the price fills that prior gap made on June 11 2018 then the next major resistance is at $45.00. The High Made on July 09 2018 at $46.90 is the next Target. IMHO in time the price of TWTR could break above that prior High. The next resistance would at $50.00, so I would sell at say $49.40. IMHO TWTR has nice potential for a nice Capital Gain over a bit of longer term. This was not bought for Day Trading or Swing Trading. This was bought to try and capture the Capital Gains under the “Investment” clause of the Tax act and so I would get 50% of the Capital Gain TAX FREE (in Canada).
After a Gap Up, a stock price will consolidate for a few days before continuing on it Up Trend. The price usually create a flag or pennant formation before moving up higher again. It’s just a matter to patiently wait…

Why am I buying? Strange for me, but because of Fundamentals. Twitter’s quarterly report surpassed Analyst Expectation. You also have the Twitter promoter in the White House who gets Twitter mentioned in the news almost on a daily basis. On top of Fundamentals the CCI looks great. So in my opinion I am buying because of Fundamentals and also because of Technicals.“

Reasons why I bought 1,000 AAN shares on the NYSE today:: Prior day Close was $53.27.
Today’s open was $55.05, Which means the Price Gapped UP (ie lots of buyers).
Much Higher Volume than normal at 1.5 Million shares.
Price moved above $56.04, which was the prior high set on Feb 27.
50 Day Moving Average is showing the price is in an extended Uptrend.
The Low of Feb 14 was not surpassed by the low on March 25.
So you had a Higher Low on March 25 which gives an indication
that the trend upward should continue.
Earning Per share rose over 30% in the reported Quarter.
So the Technicals looked great as did the Fundamentals.

One would assume that Bottled Water is safe to drink and it is. Arsenic is a Heavy Metal. In large quantities it can kill a Human. The amount of Arenic found in Bottled water is not even close to being a Lethal Dose ( which is approx 70-to-200 mg or 1 mg per 1 KG of body weight per day). The issue is that Long Term intake of Arsenic could damge Human Internal Organs.
Current FDA regulations state that bottled water manufacturers are required to monitor their finished bottled water products for Arsenic at least “once” each year under the current good manufacturing practice (CGMP) regulations for bottled water (21 CFR part 129).
In the Federal Register of January 22, 2001 (66 FR 6976), EPA published a final rule establishing a maximum contaminant level for arsenic in public drinking water. EPA took this action, in part, because studies have shown long-term exposure to inorganic arsenic in drinking water may result in increased risk of cancer (e.g., skin, bladder, lung, kidney, liver, prostate, and nasal passage) and is associated with noncancer effects, such as alterations in gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, hematological (e.g., anemia), pulmonary, neurological, immunological, and reproductive/developmental function. In response to this EPA rulemaking, FDA published the June 9, 2005 final rule. This final rule ensures that the minimum quality of bottled water, as affected by arsenic, remains comparable with the quality of public drinking water that meets EPA’s standards.
The FDA also ruled that the allowable level for arsenic in bottled water is 10 micrograms (0.010 milligrams) per liter of water. (21 CFR 165.110(b)(4)(iii)(A)). That is 10 Parts Per Billllion of Arsenic.
Consumer Reports recently pubished their findings after checking the self publuished Arsenic Tests done by the Bottled Water Companies. of a number of brands of Bottled Water being sold in the USA. Many brands were well below the 10 ppm FDA guidleine. One brand in particular contained arsenic levels above the 10 ppm FDA guidline.
Consumer Reports also ran their own lab testing on a few brands, which in the past had registered higher thant FDA stands Arsenic level. One brand tested by Consurmer Reports, had a average Arsenic level of 18.1 ppb, well above the FDA set max level.
Sony has been showing off it’s latest TV. It would not likely fit into your home, because it measures 63 feet in length by 17 feet in height.
Ok, lets explain what 16K resolution means relative to present day HD TV or 1080P resolution. The next step up above HD TV is 4K TV, which has a resolution 4x times that of HD TV.
So a 16K TV will have It has four times as many pixels as an 8K TV, sixteen times as many pixels as 4K TV and sixty-four times as many pixels as your typical home HD TV.
To Stream 4K video from Netflix, they recommend that your Internet Download speed can handle 25 Mega Bits Per Second for each device. If you stream two videos, to two different devices then your Internet must be able to handle 50 Mbps download speeds. Other devices using the internet at the same time would require even more Bandwidth. If you have Cable or Fiber Internet at home, then you should be OK.
For 16K Video Streaming I suspect that one would need to have Gigabit Fiber Service to their home, providing 1,000 Mbps Download connection capability. Even Gigabit Fiber may not work as the packets will stream from say Netflix to your home, but along the way it will pass thru multiple networks. Then consider a very large city where you could have a million homes trying to stream 16K video after supper time. I doubt that the Internet as it now stand would be able to handle such traffic, along with all the other Internet Traffic.
One work around would be to compress the Video before streaming. You know create a ZIP file of the video. Then decompress the file when it arrives at your home. Might have to split up the video into sections. High speed computers could handle decompressing the streaming video file and then displaying the 16K video.
Just remember at the beginning of TV it was all grainy Black and White video captured via a home Antenna. But it was free…

Global Warming Fear Mongers have made many Dire Predictions about the consequences of Global Warming err Climate Change. Looking back, you will find that their Dire Dredictions had failed.
Heck, they even had to change the name to Climate Change, as it was proven that Global Warming had stopped decades ago. They also had to stop using a photo of a Polar Bear out on some ice pack, because Polar Bear populations have been rising for many years, per Canadian Government Polar Bear Census.
BTW, Polar Bears are great swimmers. Excellent way to waste Tax Payers money doing a Polar Bear Census over a number of years, to appease the Global Warming Fear Mongers. All they had to do was to speak with the Inuit people living in Canada’s far North. who would confirm that Polar Bears populations had been going up for years.

So how does one scam companies like Facebook and Google out of $100 Million Dollars?
Evaldas Rimasauskas, 50, pleaded guilty last week to wire fraud. The scheme used was to register a fake company whose name was the same as a company which did business with Google and Facebook. Then Phishing emails were sent asking for money to pay fake invoices.
The scam was started in 2013. It worked and kept being used. Then in 2017 Evaldas was arrested in Lithuania and was then extradited to the US where he was charged with one count of Wire Fraud. Evaldas also had to forfeit over $49 Million dollars.
One would think that after scamming Millions of Dollars, that Evaldas would have done a quick Google search for countries which do not have an Extradition Treaty with the US. The other question which comes to mind is: When is the amount scammed enough?Why keep doing it till you are caught? I believe such actions are due to someone being afflicted with “Never Enough Disease”.
In Germany there are no speed limits on certain roadways. A guy and apparently his girlfriend went out on one of the No Speed Limit highways in his father’s McLaren 650S. He informed the Police that he had been driving at 186 MPH (in the left lane where there is no speed limit). He then lost control, swerving into the right lane and then into a crash barrier. His passenger was thrown out of the vehicle as her seatbelt snapped off. The driver survived. There was no mention of the Driver being severely injured.
Aside from the very sad of the loss of a life, this speaks well of the construction of the Mclaren 650S. The driver survived the 186 MPH crash. I highly doubt that would be the case with most regular cars out on the road even crashing at half the speed at which the McLaren had crashed.
I’m also rather amazed that the tires on the McLaren held up at such a high speed.
BTW, I am in no way suggesting that it is OK to drive any car on a public highway at such insanely high speeds. What if they had come upon a slower driving Porsche which was driving at say 100 Mph? The braking distance needed at 186 MPH would likely cause a high speed rear end crash. Try hammering on the brakes while traveling at 186MPH and controlling the car and praying that the tires do not melt or burst into flames.
The Alert Logic Blog posted about a coding error found in variants of the Lockergoga ransomware. Before encrypting any files, Lockergoga first checked for certain files including Windows “.LNK” files.
The Security Team at Alert Logic found that if Lockergoga came across a malformed (invalid) “.LNK” file, then it would cause a Windows Exception Error which would then automatically stop Lockergoga in it’s tracks. This is all before the File Encryption Process was started.
Creating a malformed “.LNK” file may be a short term vaccine against present variants of Lockergoga. It is highly likely that the people who built Lockergoga will remove the “.LNK” file check in future variants of Lockergoga.
There is Ransomeware protection software available which is based on “Behaviour”. It allows the the Ransomeware to run, but will stop it when it starts to encrypt files in protected folders. Those protected folders also have backups of the files, which can then be restored as needed.
Ranstop is behaviour based security software. It is not Signature based. It caught Lockergoga when it started the encryption process. Since the protected folders have the files backed up, any file encrypted prior to stopping Lockergoga, could be recovered.

The IRS will never: – Call to demand immediate payment, nor will we call about taxes owed without first having mailed you a bill.. – Demand that you pay taxes without giving you the opportunity to question or appeal the amount they say you owe. – Require you to use a specific payment method for your taxes, such as a prepaid debit card. – Ask for credit or debit card numbers over the phone. – Threaten to bring in local police or other law-enforcement groups to have you arrested for not paying.
Shares prices tumbled in Asia on Monday Mar 25. The drop in Asia is being linked to the Friday Mar 22 drop on North American Stock Markets. The Japan’s Nikkei Index dropped over 3%. The Hong Kong market’s Hang Seng Index dropped over 2%.
Surprising that the Market Indexes on US exchanges have held steady all morning (some have a minor rise in their Index). It’s lunch time and so trading drops off and we will see what happens after 3PM EST.
I’m surprised that the US Stock Market Indexes have not had a rather Down day today. When the markets tank on a Friday, often that does negatively impact trading the following Monday. We’ll see how the day ends.
