My conjecture is that the chart of the NDX index is showing a Head & Shoulders or Triple Top formation. I could also make a case for a George Lindsay Three Peaks and Domed House chart formation. Stranger still is that the VIX is sitting at five year lows. Continue reading

On April 07 2013 a new and extremely important study was published by the peer-reviewed journal Nature Medicine.
This new study clearly demonstrated that the metabolism by Intestinal Microbiota of Dietary L-Carnitine, a Trimethylamine abundant in red meat, produced Trimethylamine-N-Oxide (TMAO) and accelerated the development of Atherosclerosis in mice. This acceleration of Atherosclerosis did not occur, when the test group of mice were concurrently given antibiotics to suppress the population of Intestinal Microbiota.

While China’s exports have grown, many have lost sight of Canada’s other Neighbor. With the Free Trade agreement Goods can flow from Mexico into the US and into Canada. A lot of new US Production has moved to Mexico.
Now it seems that labour costs in Mexico are lower than in China. In 2010 the average wage in China was under $2.00 per hour. I would suspect that it is now still under $3.00 per hour. Wages in China are rising due to worker shortages.
A new report published by Bank of America Merrill Lynch claims that Mexican wages are now lower than Chinese wages. The disparity should continue to increase. China’s labour shortages are the driver to increasing wages in China. Continue reading

North Korea is a distraction, at least till May. Japan just fired the first round of what I believe could be the coming Currency War in Asia. China has never forgotten, nor forgiven Japan for the atrocities during the Japanese occupation of China during World War 2. Chinese citizen have held huge demonstrations and called for boycotts of Japanese firms, goods and services. Continue reading

Gut microbiota may causatively contribute to the development of Obesity & Insulin Resistance. More work needs to be done in this important research area.

The IBL has been around since 1919. The Toronto team is called the Toronto Maple Leaf Baseball Club. It is an organization owned and run by Mr Jack Dominico. Joe was pretty consistent with his wheel stands. He was also able to run the car quite a ways down the track, while keeping it standing up in the air. Behind the wheel, all that Joe could see was blue sky.

Interesting article found in the Times Of India, on Mar 11 2013 (I’ll provide a link to that article below). It was about chopstick production in China. What are Chopsticks? They are two narrow and straight sticks of wood. Both are held by the fingers of one hand and are used to pickup food from a dish and transport it to one’s mouth.
Visit a local Chinese Restaurant and many will provide you with disposable chopsticks. Lots of fun for Westerners to try. Surprisingly, Chopsticks can be very efficient once you get the hand of using them.
The article gives a few figures about Disposable Chopstick production in China. They quote 80 Billion pairs produced yearly. That’s 160 billion chopsticks. Continue reading

I happened upon my first Silvio Santos prank video by chance, and have become hooked on them. They are exceptionally well executed. Silvio Santos is a Television Show from Brazil. Don’t worry about not understanding what they are saying in the video. Everyone, from anywhere in the world, will understand what is going on.
This Silvio Santos prank features a mirror in a public room where ladies can touch up their hair and makeup. I’ll try and feature more of these hilarious videos in future posts. Hope that you enjoy viewing this as much as I do.
