Friday night was a toss up. I wanted to shoot a Vancouver band called The Pack A.D. at Yonge Dundas Square. Only problem was that Suzie McNeil was performing around the same time, at the Taste of the Kingsway, in west Toronto.

Chuck D Keeping is one of those musicians who plays at the back of the stage, while keeping the beat of the concert pumping. In August, I caught this very talented Drummer performing with Big Wreckat the CNE Bandshell. Back in the summer of 2012, I had also seen him on Drums with Suzie McNeil.

He has played with Rock bands, as well as major Symphony Orchestras. See if you recognize any of the people that Chuck has played with, such as Suzie McNeil, Big Wreck, Prince, Jeff Healey and Johhny Reid to name just a few. A very talented musician and songwriter.

“These Kids Wear Crowns” is a band based on Canada’s west coast in Chilliwack BC. There was another great band out of Chilliwack called “Chilliwack”. I wonder if there is something in the water in Chilliwack which help produce amazing bands every few decades??? It was real treat to get to see them perform on Canada Day in Vaughan. Took lots of concert photos. Continue reading →
