Photos of Marshall Dane performing at the CNE Midway Stage
On Aug 28th Marshall Dane took over the CNE Midway Stage. His music melds country and rock into something rather special.
I finished shooting Big Wreck at the CNE Bandshell. Packed up the camera gear and headed for the CNE Midway Stage. BTW, the lighting at the CNE Midway Stage was really well run. At the CNE Bandshell not so much. I was looking forward to shooting at a stage which was properly lit.
Marshall Dane must have just finished a set prior to my arrival. That gave me a few minutes to sit and relax. It’s funny that I am not normally a fan of country music, but I was looking forward to hearing Marshall Dane perform. Yes, and also to get some photos of them performing on a much better stage.
The band consists of five players. One player each for Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keys and of course Lead Vocals.
Marshall Dane and band soon took to the CNE Midway Stage again. This was to be their final set of the day. Marshall walked on stage with a cane. I assume that he still recovering from whatever mishap befell him recently. The last time that I saw then, he told the audience that four days prior to that show, he could not even walk. He was also under going Physio Therapy.
That was something quite memorable. He had a valid reason not show for that concert. Yet he came on stage and put on an awesome performance – pain or no pain. It also gave some insight into the drive that Marshall Dane has. That kind of drive is required to be able to grab and hold onto mega stardom.
Personally I think that it’s just a matter of time, before the whole world becomes familiar with the name Marshall Dane and his music. One can see that spark of future stardom, when he performs.
