Verizon sells a product which they call the Verizon Hum. It provides features like Vehicle Diagnostics, Maintenance Reminders, a Mechanics Hotline, Pinpoint Roadside Assistance, Stolen Vehicle Assistance. Emergency Assistance, Vehicle Location, and Speed Alerts.
To help bring Verizon Hum to everyone’s attention, Verizon has also created a promotional vehicle which they call the Verizon Hum Rider.

The Verizon Hum is a useful additional for one’s car. The Verizon Hum Rider would be the daily Commuter’s Dream Come True.
IMHO this promotion machine shows the concept as being viable. This would be a great modification to add to EMS vehicles and Ambulances. Police cars with this type of mod could get to highway accident scenes.
If it works for a car, then add this mod to a Fire Truck. It would allow the Fire Truck to get to the scene of a major car crash, that had traffic backed up for miles.

My first Bugatti Chiron was on display at the 2017 Canadian International AutoShow

The first Bugatti that I caught live in Toronto was the Bugatti Veyron. It was parked in Yorkville. That Veyron and whole bevy of super exotic cars were in Toronto, as part of the Gumball 3000 Rally.
The Bugatti Chiron is rather rare. I managed to catch this one at the 2017 Canadian International Autoshow in Toronto.

The Acura Precision Concept was featured at the 2017 Canadian International Autoshow
The Acura Precision Concept which was on display at the 2017 Canadian International Autoshow in Toronto, is literally “Eye Candy”. I was not the only one who felt that way about this car. Other people were calling their friends over and telling them how they much they would love to “own” this car. One of the nicest machines at the show. She is a real beauty.
With an emphasis on high-contrast details and the intersection of modern, sheer surfaces and muscular, organic sculpting, the Acura Precision Concept communicates Acura’s focus on performance and prestige through its ultra-low and wide stance, long dash-to-axle ratio, deeply sculpted surfaces and the debut of a new Diamond Pentagon grille. The Acura Precision Concept’s crouched and athletic stance is further emphasized by its deeply sculpted side surfaces pouring over swelling rear wheel arches covering 22-inch wheels and tires. The forward-looking concept also features signature lighting designs – in front with its Jewel Constellation LED headlights composed of organically arranged fractal elements, and in back with floating LED tail lights.

The 2017 Canadian International Autoshow opens to the public tomorrow and runs from Feb 17 thru Feb 26. The show is held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, located in downtown Toronto.
Today is Media Preview day. Something extremely special had it’s first North America debut, that being the Aston Martin-Red Bull concept hypercar AM-RB 001.
Multimatic of Markham Ontario will be partnering with Aston Martin to manufacture the AM-RB001 when production starts up.

Rolf Vogt’s home has the largest Christmas Lights display in Germany, with over 420,000 lights.
Huge Christmas Lights Display are not just an American passion. Rolf Vogt has spent over $100,000 in creating the most beautiful Christmas House in Germany. More lights are added yearly and now there are around 420,000 Christmas lights.
It take about three months for Rolf and his son, to get this awesome Christmas Lights Display setup.

Gene and Mary Halliwell used 350,000 Christmas Lights and over 800 Decorative pieces to create “Wonderland At Roseville”
Gene and Mary Halliwell, with the help of daughter Maryanne and her husband George Mulligan have transformed this family home into “Wonderland At Roseville“.
Their daughter Maryanne loves lights and there are over 350,000 lights used for this display.

European Court ruling may have a major impact on the Internet in Europe
Bloomberg has posted a news item regarding a European Court Ruling in reference to a Dutch copyright infringement case. This is only the first shot, as stricter European Union rules on the Internet are expected shortly.
In brief, the ruling speaks about hyperlinks potentially being illegal, especially if the site posting the hyperlinks to copyrighted material is a for profit entity.

Gregg Braden talk at the “2012 – Gateway to Your Future Conference” held at Convocation Hall, University of Toronto, Canada – Oct 2011
Gregg Braden has a science and engineering background. His resume includes high level positions at Cisco Systems and programming Nuclear Missiles. He is also a best Selling Author.
I was amazed at the topics which he touched on. A great presenter. This was a live 2 hours presentation and he did not need any notes.
One part which fascinated me is that Greg Braden discussed Peer Reviewed Scientific Proof that Global Warming is Cyclical. Also that the Warming started way before the concentrations of CO/2 gas increase in the atmosphere. Yes, there is Global Warming. It is cyclical and “not Man Made”. Sure mankind may be helping it, but Mankind did “not cause it“.
He also goes into human ancestors. Humans are not genetically related to Neanderthals. Human DNA and Neanderthal DNA are very different. We are different species, and “NOT” related. That was an eye opener. He provides Peer Reviewed proof, that somehow is not making it into our Educational Systems.

Cisco Talos Security Webinar
Participated in the Cisco Talos Security Webinar on Wednesday.
Last year I had posted about Kaspersky Lab reporting about a Bank exploit, where Russian Banks were targeted. Basically the Hackers were able to get Bank Accounting Staff to connect to a site where a keylogger and other Trojan Remote Control software was secretly uploaded and installed into “system RAM“, but not onto the Hard Disk or Network Storage. That allowed their remote control software (called Lurk) to be overlooked by Security Software, because Security Software usually scans stored files and not RAM. Once installed, the hackers could monitor the employees. When the employee went for lunch, they took over the PC and started to transfer funds around the world.

Earlier this year, Russian Authorities had arrested over 50 alleged Hackers who were alleged to be part of the group which targeted and Hacked into the Banks. The investigation into this group’s activities had been ongoing for years (at least since 2013). The Cisco Talos Security Webinar discussed the arrests and the aftermath. Cisco’s research seems to indicate that the same group was involved in other Internet Exploits. One of which was the Angler Ransomware.
Since the Russian arrests, certain malware has disappeared, along with certain DarkNet sites and BotNets. The Russian Authorities made the Internet a tad safer, at least for a short while.

Venclexta (Venetoclax) granted U.S. FDA approval for the treatment of patients with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL)
Venclexta (Venetoclax) is the first FDA-approved treatment that targets the B-cell lymphoma 2 (BCL-2) protein, which supports cancer cell growth and is over-expressed in many patients with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL).
The patient must have been previously treated with at least one other approved treatment protocol without success. Venclexta (Venetoclax) may be the Holy Mary drug to try when everything else failed.
Patients on the Venclexta (Venetoclax) regime must be monitored as their can be severe side effects. During Human Trails a number of patients developed upper respiratory issues such as Pneumonia.
Patients also have to maintain a level of hydration – 1.5 to 2 liters per day. If averse symptoms arise then hydration may be have to be added intravenously.
I think the biggest issue to patients getting access to this drug, is that the reported cost of the drug is approx $100,000 US per year.
Speak with your Oncologist or other Cancer Secialist, about Venclexta (Venetoclax), if you have diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL).
