Abstract

Egg activation refers to events required for transition of a gamete into an embryo, including establishment of the polyspermy block, completion of meiosis, entry into mitosis, selective recruitment and degradation of maternal mRNA, and pronuclear development. Here we show that zinc fluxes accompany human egg activation. We monitored calcium and zinc dynamics in individual human eggs using selective fluorophores following activation with calcium-ionomycin, ionomycin, or hPLCζ cRNA microinjection. These egg activation methods, as expected, induced rises in intracellular calcium levels and also triggered the coordinated release of zinc into the extracellular space in a prominent “zinc spark.” The ability of the gamete to mount a zinc spark response was meiotic-stage dependent. Moreover, chelation of intracellular zinc alone was sufficient to induce cell cycle resumption and transition of a meiotic cell into a mitotic one. Together, these results demonstrate critical functions for zinc dynamics and establish the zinc spark as an extracellular marker of early human development.

Thank You Google! Our prior post: Dom Perignon “Cabaret” has made it to the top of Google’s Search Results

As a way of getting my mind to shift to something positive, I try to post about things which our Readers would normally not come across. I love Matt Drudge‘s site called Drudge Report. IMHO, one key to his success is that one does not know what to expect each day when visiting the Drudge Report.

The last couple of posts found here showcase two amazing “Commercials” from Europe. Both are wonderful Works of Art and are true Eye Candy.

I check Google every once in while to see how we are doing. Thank You Google. Your Search Engine Results just changed my State. I’m now sporting a huge smile.

Why?

Do a Google search on the following : Dom Perignon “Cabaret”.

Google has our post as being the 2nd from the top. Harpers Bazaar is huge and beat us to the top spot. Our post beat out a post on the Wall Street Journal and also on the Fashion Week Daily. It is not easy to get on the front page of Google Search results. To be one of the top three results is something to celebrate.

The other Search engines like Duck Duck Go, Yahoo and Bing may pick up our posts after about a week. Google visits us at least once per day. Thank You again Google, You just changed my day.

Now I have to prepare my Taxes – yea I put it off to the very last minute. Apparently I have utill May 02 2016

Jeff Bezos of Amazon made over $6 Billion US Dollars today. How much did you earn today?

Amazon (AMZN) shares rocketed upwards today on Nasdaq. They were up over $75 on the day in after hours trading. I won’t worry about the change since it’s bouncing between $75.50 and $75.33

Jeff Bezos apparently owns 82.9 Million shares. So today (Apr 28) his Net Worth just rose more than $6 Billion US Dollars. Not bad for one day of work. That is not a mistake, his net worth went up “over” $6 Billion US Dollars. Hey Jeff can you spare a dime???

The Forbes site has his Net Worth at $53 Billion US Dollars and that is supposedly in Real Time (like the Real Time matters).

BTW, how much did your Net Worth go up today? Mine went down. No Joy.

Be happy for Jeff Bezos. Congrats Jeff – no seriously Congrats…

“HP Chromebook 13” will blow you away

What looks like an Apple Macbook Air? What comes dressed in Metal not unlike an Apple Air? What will cost “Way Less” than an Apple Macbook Air? What gives you over 11 hours of battery life? What is super light?

All the above describe the new HP Chromebook 13. It runs Google Chrome OS. There is 16 Gigabyte of Ram. The QHD+ display will knock your socks off at a resolution of 3200×1800 pixels (almost 4K res). Intel’s latest CoreM processor powers this unit, which mean great graphics performance and very low power consumption.

Just add the optional HP Elite USB-C Docking Station1 for the HP Chromebook 13 and you can connect two external monitor, an ethernet connection to your wired network and multiple USB device or charge your tablet and phone.

Light, very portable. I forgot to mention that it also comes with a backlit keyboard.

Simply Awesome

Our CLiK CLiK Vic Zenfolio site is now closed

Our CLiK CLiK Vic Zenfolio photo site/blog is no more. Lack of free time prevented me from running multiple sites. Google does not like finding duplicate posts. I found that out the hard way when I had two very highly similar (not quite but pretty much  duplicates) posts on here and on the Zenfolio site. When Google got wind of the two posts, they stopped sending their Spiders. It has taken much effort to get Indexed again.

IN the past, I had also linked photos from our Zenfolio site to posts on this site. Those photos will no longer display. I’ll have to move photos to WordPress and kill the external site links. Great, more work to do with less and less time time to do it.

If a photo resided on our Zenfolio site you will get a msg icon saying that the item is being Protected by the owner (moi) because the Zenfolio site is no longer connected to the internet.

The above will have no effect on the newer posts. Some older posts could be affected. Bear with me while I move the photos over to this site.

BTW I think that Zenfolio.com is a great hosting company. If I had the time and or staff then I would have kept that site online..

Immortals or is it Reincarnation

I’ll state where I’m coming from. Your mileage may differ.

Time does not exist. That is a statement of fact. It has yet to be proven that “Time” exists beyond your imagination. I’m serious. Quantum Physics offers proof of the non-existance of the thing which we call “Time”.

You continue to exist after the death of your borrowed body. Millions of people have died and have come back from death and have spoken about it. The common term is Near Death Experience. The one major common point with all of them, is that you continue to “exist” after your borrowed body dies.

Reincarnation exists. Been there. Done that.

The following video really makes one wonder. How is it that two people can look so very much alike and not be identical twins? Answer is that the photos are of the same person, but taken during a different lifetime. Photos don’t lie (if they have not been Photoshoped), do they? They say that your Genes control how your body will turn out after birth. Not quite. That which is you (some call it your Soul or Spirit) does not change and somehow controls the projected image which others will pick up when they create their own reality. It’s also true that what you perceive as being Reality, also does not exist. Just as “Time” is imagined, so your Reality is also imagined. That is my explanation why you have photos and or painting or sculptures created years apart (as in centuries) of identical looking people. It’s the same individual Soul or Spirit, but in a different lifetime.

All the above is fact. If you don’t believe me, then do some research into the findings coming out from Quantum Physics Research.

Click on this line to view the YouTube video, showing side by side photos of people currently alive and those that have long gone. Surprisingly (or not – depends on your own mileage) the two individuals look like identical twins. Videos was posted to the the Marko Andruss YouTube channel.

If the Cancerous Tumor can be reached by thin optic fibers then this minimally invasive procedure could be an effective way to treat said Tumor

Getting any form of cancer can be life changing. The medical procedures used to eliminate the Cancer can also have life changing side effects.

Removing a Cancerous Prostate is one present way to deal with Colon Cancer.

There is a novel new procedure which has already been approved for use in Mexico. It may soon be approved for use in Europe.

The key part is that the procedure is minimally invasive. If the Cancerous Tumor can be reached by thin optic fibers then this procedure could be an effective way to treat said Tumor. The thin optic fiber is needed to direct the Laser light at the Tumor. “Laser light activation of an intravenous infusion of Tookad Soluble releases short-lived toxic oxygen and nitric oxide radicals that destroy the Cancer tumor’s blood vessels and thereby kill the tumorous cells”. The Tookad Soluble drug is eliminated from the body in less than 6 hours. Without the Laser Light activation the Tookad Soluble has no effect on other cells or organ. Ultra Sound is used to feed and direct the Optic Fibres into the patients body.

This new technology was developed by the Yeda Research and Development Company, of the Weizmann Institute in collaboration with Steba Biotech of Luxembourg. Steba Biotech received the license for Tookad Soluble from Yeda Research and Development Company.

Since this procedure can target Cancer Tumors where a Fibre Optic strand could reach the tumor, then the door may be open to treat many other forms of Cancer. More research and Clinical Studies are underway.

Click on this line to read much more detail about using Tookad Soluble activation via Laser Light to target Cancer Tumors.

Click on this line to visit the Times Of Israel news website to read their article on this procedure first developed by the Weizmann Institute.

“Magic Instruments” just introduced a new type of guitar called “MI Guitar”

Magic Instruments” just introduced a new type of guitar called “MI Guitar“.

A new type of guitar which supposedly you can pick up and play in minutes.

Instead of pressing down on strings on the Fretboard, you press buttons. Yep a single button can enable the MI Guitar to play a specific cord.

This reminds me of Coachella and watching the EDM Musicians on stage. The MI Guitar is sort of like a Keyboard (or Keypad) which can play Guitar cords. It is all packaged to look sort of like Gibson Les Paul. Unique approach. The sounds that the EDM Musicians make are astounding,  so this “MI Guitar” could become a viable instrument which we could see at concerts in the future. I wish them success…

Scanning ultrasound removes amyloid-β and restores memory in an Alzheimer’s disease mouse model

I used to post about Medical Research in the past. For example, our prior post about research done at Harvard regarding the association between Heart Disease and microbial Human Gut Bacteria had researchers from around the globe visiting this site. Hey life is not just about great looking Exotic Cars, great looking Women and great sounding Music. You should add Medical Research to “round out” that mix.

This post is about research being conducted in Australia, which shows great promise in the treatment of Alzheimers. Apparently some memory loss could be reversed, in mice so far, by using their protocol and Scanning UltraSound.

The study was conducted by : Gerhard Leinenga and Jürgen Götz. Corresponding author. E-mail: j.goetz@uq.edu.au

Their study was published in the peer reviewed journal: Science Translational Medicine 11 Mar 2015: Vol. 7, Issue 278

The article was titled: Research Article Alzheimer’s Disease
Scanning ultrasound removes amyloid-β and restores memory in an Alzheimer’s disease mouse model.

The following is the Abstract (posted for Educational purposes). A link is provided further down to access the complete text and a downloadable PDF.

Abstract

Amyloid-β (Aβ) peptide has been implicated in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease (AD). We present a nonpharmacological approach for removing Aβ and restoring memory function in a mouse model of AD in which Aβ is deposited in the brain. We used repeated scanning ultrasound (SUS) treatments of the mouse brain to remove Aβ, without the need for any additional therapeutic agent such as anti-Aβ antibody. Spinning disk confocal microscopy and high-resolution three-dimensional reconstruction revealed extensive internalization of Aβ into the lysosomes of activated microglia in mouse brains subjected to SUS, with no concomitant increase observed in the number of microglia. Plaque burden was reduced in SUS-treated AD mice compared to sham-treated animals, and cleared plaques were observed in 75% of SUS-treated mice. Treated AD mice also displayed improved performance on three memory tasks: the Y-maze, the novel object recognition test, and the active place avoidance task. Our findings suggest that repeated SUS is useful for removing Aβ in the mouse brain without causing overt damage, and should be explored further as a noninvasive method with therapeutic potential in AD.

Young Bear gets Head stuck inside a plastic bucket

On one hand while driving down the road it would be kinda funny seeing a young Bear wandering around with a Plastic Bucket on it’s head.

It’s another thing to realize that the young Bear has not been able to get it’s head free for over a month.

A group of friends decided that this was not funny anymore and went to find and help the Young Bear. This is their video.
