Beaches Jazz Festival coming to Woodbine Park – July 16 & 17 2016
The Beaches Jazz Festival is a Toronto Tradition. Many have grown up with it – literally. 2016 will be the 28th rendition of the Beaches Jazz Festival.
Where?
At Woodbine Park – east end of Toronto by the Lake. Don’t drive. Take the Red Rockets to Woodbine Subway Station and a bus will take you down to the lake and Woodbine Park.
The Main Stage at Woodbine park has always had really good sound. It’s almost like bowl, as there is a hill behind the stage area. Great sound system.
The centre audience area has Food vendors all around. There is a 2nd stage , which they started a few years back.
Cost?
No Charge – it’s Free. A really great way to spend an afternoon with your lover or your family. For some reason the weather has always bee good the weekend of of the Jazz Fest at Woodbine. We’ll see next weekend.

The two most amazing voices that I have heard perform on stage – Freddie Mercury with Queen and Amy Lee with Evanescence.
I saw Evanescence perform on City TV, here in Toronto, many moons ago.
Thank You Amy Lee for sharing your incredible gift of Music.

“Start Anew” by Kyp Harness
Theme Song for this week Titled “Start Anew” by Kyp Harness.
Got an email suggesting that I check this artist out. Okay.
The last line in the email spoke about where to get a bio, pics and to download Kyp’s soon to be released album. Fine.
The last word was the password which should be used to D/L the album. Awesome password – you got me hooked.
This artist harkens back to another, “better” age of music. An age where the words in songs created mindscapes and in turn memories. An age when singers had something to share with the world. Now we are left with Hip Hop and Justin Bieber.
We’ll do a proper review of Kyp Harness and his new upcoming album titled “Stoplight Moon“, but I wanted to post about one of his songs whose words hit home this week.
Back to this week. It started at the end of last week and I can’t shake it. Even going to Church, the local LCBO (liquor store for those outside of Ontario) as a friend calls it, did nothing.
The lyrics which Kyp Harness has created grab you. There is a song about Politicians and Crooks which put a smile on my face. Then on YouTube I happened on his song titled “Start Anew“.
Stuff happens for a reason. The mood that I’m in. Finding the song “Start Anew”. Enjoy…

An Easter posting: Pocatello area couple (Beth and Mark Stenberg) saves pregnant dog that was shot and left for dead, and now has nine puppies
Thank You Beth and Mark Stenberg for the lesson in kindness and love shown by your actions.
Proof positive that there are still “Human Beings” alive on planet Earth. They may be rare and an endangered species, but they still do exist.

Tina S covers Through the Fire and Flames originally by DragonForce
Tina S taps, shreds and literally smokes Through the Fire and Flames.
This 15 Year French female performs pure magic on the fretboard. Many musicians visit my sites and I hope that they view the Tina S videos. Astoundingly perfect Guitar work by Tina S.
Guitar solo from Pink Floyd’s Comfortably Numb played effortlessly by Tina S.
Believe or not, she is only 15 years old.
Tina S plays guitar with extraordinary technical ability, while making it look so effortless.

One thing that is rather unique about this Tina S version. She does not use the Tremelo Bar / Vibrato Arm at all. She creates a similar effect by pulling and pushing the guitar strings. Check out YouTube for videos of David Gilmour playing Comfortably Numb, to see and hear what I’m talking about
Click on this line to visit the Tina S Facebook page.
Her Guitar teacher has been Renaud Louis-Servais. Click on this line to visit his YouTube channel
