Yahoo posted an interesting video about fishing right in Downtown Ottawa. Don’t laugh. Wait till you see what one of the guys in the video caught.

I used to love to go fishing. Also enjoyed driving up to Ottawa.
On more than one trip to Ottawa, I saw people fishing along rivers as we drove past on the highway.
It never occurred to me that one could catch really decent sized fish, by fishing near the Parliament Buildings in Downtown Ottawa.
In the Yahoo posted video, the guy catches either a huge Pike or a Muskie, along with a smaller Pike and a small Bass. Really surprising video. Wish that I had known this before.

Remember the nonsense which was spouted a few years back about Antarctic Ice melting away and predictions of a resulting dire sea level rise.
BTW on the opposite pole of the Earth, Polar Bear populations have been increasing for years and are at record high levels. Go figure.
Let us not forget what the UN IPCC conjecture stated about Himalayan glaciers disappearing. They retracted it.

Toronto Mayor Ford will be hosting the Etobicoke portion of his annual Ford Fest.
In the past the BBQ was held in the backyard of the Ford Family home.
The number of those dropping by for the event had kept rising.
This year instead of being held in an Etobicoke backyard, Ford Fest Etobicoke will be held at Centennial Park.
When? This coming Friday Sept 20. The festivities starts around 6Pm.
It was cool of Mayor Ford to call Etobicoke residents with an invite.
There will be free food (BBQ burgers). A Midway for the kids. Music performances. A chance to meet Mayor Ford. Sounds like a fun evening.
Great combination featuring Krispy Kreme donuts and exotic automotive eye candy.
