Toronto’s one and only LIGHTS will be back in TO on May 02 and 03. Lights will have two concerts at the Danforth Music Hall , before heading off to the Big Apple New York City and then to Los Angeles.

“Magic Instruments” just introduced a new type of guitar called “MI Guitar”
“Magic Instruments” just introduced a new type of guitar called “MI Guitar“.
A new type of guitar which supposedly you can pick up and play in minutes.
Instead of pressing down on strings on the Fretboard, you press buttons. Yep a single button can enable the MI Guitar to play a specific cord.
This reminds me of Coachella and watching the EDM Musicians on stage. The MI Guitar is sort of like a Keyboard (or Keypad) which can play Guitar cords. It is all packaged to look sort of like Gibson Les Paul. Unique approach. The sounds that the EDM Musicians make are astounding, so this “MI Guitar” could become a viable instrument which we could see at concerts in the future. I wish them success…

Scanning ultrasound removes amyloid-β and restores memory in an Alzheimer’s disease mouse model
I used to post about Medical Research in the past. For example, our prior post about research done at Harvard regarding the association between Heart Disease and microbial Human Gut Bacteria had researchers from around the globe visiting this site. Hey life is not just about great looking Exotic Cars, great looking Women and great sounding Music. You should add Medical Research to “round out” that mix.
This post is about research being conducted in Australia, which shows great promise in the treatment of Alzheimers. Apparently some memory loss could be reversed, in mice so far, by using their protocol and Scanning UltraSound.

Abstract
Amyloid-β (Aβ) peptide has been implicated in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease (AD). We present a nonpharmacological approach for removing Aβ and restoring memory function in a mouse model of AD in which Aβ is deposited in the brain. We used repeated scanning ultrasound (SUS) treatments of the mouse brain to remove Aβ, without the need for any additional therapeutic agent such as anti-Aβ antibody. Spinning disk confocal microscopy and high-resolution three-dimensional reconstruction revealed extensive internalization of Aβ into the lysosomes of activated microglia in mouse brains subjected to SUS, with no concomitant increase observed in the number of microglia. Plaque burden was reduced in SUS-treated AD mice compared to sham-treated animals, and cleared plaques were observed in 75% of SUS-treated mice. Treated AD mice also displayed improved performance on three memory tasks: the Y-maze, the novel object recognition test, and the active place avoidance task. Our findings suggest that repeated SUS is useful for removing Aβ in the mouse brain without causing overt damage, and should be explored further as a noninvasive method with therapeutic potential in AD.

Young Bear gets Head stuck inside a plastic bucket
On one hand while driving down the road it would be kinda funny seeing a young Bear wandering around with a Plastic Bucket on it’s head.
It’s another thing to realize that the young Bear has not been able to get it’s head free for over a month.
A group of friends decided that this was not funny anymore and went to find and help the Young Bear. This is their video.

“Joe Walsh” and “Bad Company” on Tour starting May 09 2016
2016 is full of surprises and great music. Guns N’ Roses are sort of back together. Axl Rose will be the new Frontman for AC/DC.
Guess what ? Two more amazing Bands will be hitting the road and touring in 2016. Yep, “Joe Walsh” will be joined by “Bad Company“. They have 25 shows books and all in the US.
Their tour is being named the “One Hell Of A Night” tour. I wonder if Joe Walsh had a hand in that coming up with that name.

Old Rockers stole the show at Coachella 2016 – the festival for Millenials
Forget the EDM artists. Forget the profanity filled Hip Hoppers like Ice Cube.
Old Rockers took over Coachella 2016 on April 16.
Joe Walsh of the Eagles went onstage joining The Arcs, but it does not end there. Remember the “James Gang“? That was the first band where Joe Walsh played guitar and vocals. Well Glenn Schwartz also played guitar in the James Gang. Glenn joined Joe Walsh on stage with the The Arcs. Three amazing guitarists on one stage: Dan Auerbach, Joe Walsh and Glenn Schawrtz.
The Damned put on an awesome set.
Guns N’ Roses closed the April 16 Coachella lineup. Then Angus Young of AC/DC joined Axl Rose and company on stage. Together they performed the AC/DC classic “Whole Lot of Rosie”.
Note to Millenials – Rock N Roll is here to stay. Ten years from now will you remember Ice Cube or any of the EDM artists who performed at Coachella 2016? Bet ya, that you will remember the Guns N’ Roses set at Coachella 2016...

It has been confirmed that “Axl Rose” the singer for “Guns N’ Roses” will be the new Singer for AC/DC. They are just talking about the rest of the current Rock or Bust tour, but who know what the future holds.

Thanks to Google, YouTube will be Live Streaming Coachella performances starting at 6:30pm EST on April 15 2016. Which ones and other details are still being worked on apparently.
Here is hoping that they will Live Stream the Guns N’ Roses Coachella concert. If they don’t Live Stream the complete concert then apparently they will have highlights footage and images. Again Thank You Google – great idea for those who could never make it to attend Coachella. Check YouTube

Yorkdale Shopping Centre’s newest expansion opens on Oct 18th. Nordstrom will open its doors that same week on October 21st

Yorkdale Shopping Centre has been building an expansion. They have now announced that on Oct 18th that expansion will be open to the public. Nordstom is also coming to Yorkdale. The 188,000 Nordstrom store will open on Oct 21 2016.
This is great news for both shoppers and job seekers.
