Beauty of a shot of a Pagani Huayra Exotic Supercar. I cannot tell if it’s one photo or a superbly made composite (I suspect the latter). In either case it is great to look at.

You should send a copy of the photo below to Santa Claus, so that he will know what to bring you for Christmas 2016…

This is not normal Judo, as punches and strikes are not allowed. This is more like Close Quarter Combatives. They are both very highly skilled at “faking” Combative moves. Watch the video GIF a few times..

Sabering is the best way to open your bottle of Champagne at New Years.

Sabering a bottle of ice chilled Champagne.

First you need to make sure that your bottle of Champagne is very cold. Chill in ice water. The colder the bottle, the better the pop.

Cancer is “very rarely” contagious. I believe that there exist only about 2 or 3 forms of cancer, which can survive the move from the original Host body to the Next Host body.

Top Ten Wines of 2015 chosen by “Elin McCoy”, the wine critic for Bloomberg Pursuits

Some people have rather interesting jobs. Actually the word job somehow does not describe what Elin McCoy does.

During 2015 Elin McCoy’s “job” was to sample about 3500 different wines. Day in and day out. Tough job – can I have it?

What Elin McCoy does is not an easy task. You first have to have a trained pallet.to pickup the nuances of a wine. You also don’t get to sit back and enjoy the whole bottle. She must do a lot of travel, which can be disruptive of a family life.

Anyhow Bloomberg, for whom Elin works, has published Elin’s recommendations of the best wines of 2015. The prices of the recommended wines range from $20 per bottle, up to $8,540 US per bottle (very rare – only if you can find it at an auction).

At the low price range, but of high quality, Elin liked the following white Hungarian wine:
2012 Kiralyudvar Tokaji Furmint Sec (at $20 per bottle).

At the top price end, Elin loved the following white 1966 Vintage French Champagne:
1966 Dom Pérignon P3 Champagne magnum (at $8,540 and at auction, if you can find it)

Click on this line to visit the Bloomberg website to read Elin McCoy full article and check out the other great wines which she had highly recommended.

Mangalitsa Pork. The Kobe Beef Of Pork

Mangalitsa Pork. The Kobe Beef Of Pork.

This video discusses the benefits of humans consuming certain high quality animal fats. I remember in grade school, we were instructed to do away with using Lard and Butter and replace that with say Canola Oil.

The guy in this video, Investment banker Chris Andersen, makes an interesting point that when humans consumed animal fats like Pork Lard, there supposedly were no epidemics of Diabetes and clogged Arteries.

Jack Ma on how to run a successful business. Focus on Your Customers. Serve your employees. Learn from your competitors.

This is an amazing speech given by Jack Ma.

Video is courtesy of the Jack Ma YouTube channel

Who is Jack Ma? He was rejected by Harvard University when he applied. Jack Ma is now the richest man in China and one of the top 20 wealthiest people on planet Earth.

His speech is common sense, but only if you see the sense in what he says. For many companies the number one priority is getting the fattest share possible of the customer’s wallet. For many companies it’s about making numbers, not about trying to exceed their customer’s expectations. For many companies, it’s about trying to squeeze every extra penny out of a customer, instead of trying to actually making the customer their number one priority and helping said customer. If you truly help a customer, that customer will continue to return to your business and help your company to survive and grow.

Jack Ma also understands the importance of serving one’s employees. Growing the Team and not just some numbers.

The following are some of the main points which I felt Jack Ma had made in his speech. IMHO, every company employee, from the President on down, should watch this video of Jack Ma’s speech.

Focus on your customers. Customers should always be the number one priority. Customers are the one’s who give you the money. Customers will give you the innovation. Help your customers and they will help you to survive and grow.

When  you think that the Shareholder is the number one priority, then you only think about making the numbers.

Customers stay with you. Customers grow with you. Customers give you the money. Customers give you the hope. Customers give you the support. So focus on customers.

Rely on and serve Your Employees. Your employees make the Team, which makes the difference. Employees make the dream a reality. Listen to the employees. Don’t just focus on shareholders. Your employees stay with you. If you believe that your employees are talented people, then they will become talented people. Develop your employees. When your employees are developed, then your company will also develop. Your employees come not just to work. They come with dreams which they will share with you.

Learn from your competitors. Be honoured that you compete with another firm. Learn from your competitors. Respect your competitors. Don’t just copy innovative ideas, learn from them.

Rare Rolls-Royce Wraith Carbon Fiber Edition Announced

New Medical Study just published in the journal Cell: Non-lethal Inhibition of Gut Microbial Trimethylamine Production for the Treatment of Atherosclerosis

TMAlyase_GUT_graphical abstract_HAZEN-3Image is courtesy of the journal Cell which retains the Copyright and any and all other rights. Used with permission for educational purpose.

A new study just published in the peer reviewed journal Cell goes further into the research which we had posted about on Apil 08 2013. That 2013 post was titled : Intestinal microbiota metabolism producing Trimethylamine-N-Oxide (TMAO), may be a contributing factor in developing Cardiovascular Disease in Humans. That was an extremely important study which had been published in the peer reviewed journal Nature Medicine. Click on the previous line to read about that extremely important finding, as I believe that it presents a new foundation upon which we can potentially reverse Cardiovascular Disease in Humans.

The following are quotes about the new study from the journal Cell which was titled:
Non-lethal Inhibition of Gut Microbial Trimethylamine Production for the Treatment of Atherosclerosis

Highlights

•Gut microbial trimethylamine lyases are a therapeutic target for atherosclerosis
•3,3-dimethyl-1-butanol inhibits microbial trimethylamine formation
•3,3-dimethyl-1-butanol attenuates choline diet-enhanced atherosclerosis
•Non-lethal gut microbial enzyme inhibition can impact host cardiometabolic phenotypes

Summary

Trimethylamine (TMA) N-oxide (TMAO), a gut-microbiota-dependent metabolite, both enhances atherosclerosis in animal models and is associated with cardiovascular risks in clinical studies. Here, we investigate the impact of targeted inhibition of the first step in TMAO generation, commensal microbial TMA production, on diet-induced atherosclerosis. A structural analog of choline, 3,3-dimethyl-1-butanol (DMB), is shown to non-lethally inhibit TMA formation from cultured microbes, to inhibit distinct microbial TMA lyases, and to both inhibit TMA production from physiologic polymicrobial cultures (e.g., intestinal contents, human feces) and reduce TMAO levels in mice fed a high-choline or L-carnitine diet. DMB inhibited choline diet-enhanced endogenous macrophage foam cell formation and atherosclerotic lesion development in apolipoprotein e−/− mice without alterations in circulating cholesterol levels. The present studies suggest that targeting gut microbial production of TMA specifically and non-lethal microbial inhibitors in general may serve as a potential therapeutic approach for the treatment of cardiometabolic diseases.”

The authors and researchers of this new Study were:

Click on this line to visit the journal Cell website, which features the Full Text of this important newly published Study.

Click on this line to download the PDF of this new Study, from the Journal Cell’s website.

In laymen’s terms, this new Study (published in the journal Cell, showed that by lnhibiting the production of TMAO during the digestion process, clogging of arteries was vastly reduced in Mice. What worked in Mice could work in a similar manner in Humans. This study, in my opinion, adds a new layer to the very important knowledge foundation which was laid with the initial work published in the journal Nature Medicine (click here to view that post)
