Ringo Starr joined Paul McCartney on stage at Dodgers Stadium

Paul McCartney at 77 is still touring. The concert, of the USA portion of his Freshen Up Tour, was on Saturday, July 13 at Dodgers Stadium in the Elysian Park neighborhood of Los Angeles in California. Since Sept 2018 Paul McCartney and his band had played 39 concerts in Europe, North and South America and Asia. The Tour will continue into Canada later this year.

They performed for 3 hours – yes 3 hours. After the first song of the ending Encore, a special guest joined Paul and his current Band on stage. That was Ringo Starr. Ringo played a set of drums for 2 songs.

For the last song, which has 3 guitar players, Joe Walsh came on stage to play. Simply awesome. Variety did a revue and shared some video clips. Paul is almost 77. Ringo turned 79 on July 07. Both looked fit and trim. To play in front of a packed Dodgers Stadium for 3 hours and not miss a beat is unreal. This was not a Milli Vanilli type of fake voice over concert. The concert was real and the sound from the videos is awesome. Wish I could have been there.

Again, I wish I had been there to see that concert.

Google had live streamed Coachella, which was also put on by Goldenvoice, so I’m kind of hoping that Google might Live stream some of the performances at Desert Trip.
