Kira Isabella was the warmup band for the Tim Hicks concert night at the CNE Bandshell on Friday Aug 29 2014.

Tim Hicks and Kira Isabella are billed as Country bands. My perceived image of country music is Johnny Cash and I had debated with myself whether to shoot that evening. WOW, was I ever blown away. Both Tim Hicks and Kira Isabella were awesome. I missed the 3rd band that played that night thanks to delays with the Toronto’s Red Rocket – TTC.

Kira Isabella features superb musicians who also know how to put on a visual show.

“Caffeine & Big Dreams” Kira Isabella’s 2nd album, has been nominated for the 2015 Juno Country Album of the Year.

Hamilton Ontario will host the 2015 Juno Awards, on Mar 15th at First Ontario Centre.

CTV will have a live broadcast from the Juno Awards ceremony.

Kira Isabella is also the name of the band’s gifted singer and songwriter. She was born in Ottawa Ontario.

In 2009 she signed on with Sony Music Entertainment Canada and the Band’s career has taken off since then.

It’s no wonder that “Caffeine & Big Dreams” has been nominated for a Juno. It is deeply personal and listeners can easily relate to the songs. Hope that she wins a well deserved Juno.
