Summer Sizzle 5 Car Show on Don Park, in Markham on May 26 2013
Last Sunday I went to the ReStyleIt Car Wrapping BBQ & Car Show. Not far from that event, the Summer Sizzle Car Show was being held. The timing was great, as I was able to visit both events.

This was the 5th annual Summer Sizzle Car Show. The organizers closed off Don Park (just east of Denison and Woodbine in Markham).
Not sure about the west end of the event. I entered Don park from the east end. The only car parking available was at other industrial units. One unit had a sign stating that car which were illegally parked would be towed. I suspect that applied during the week, as it looked like all the businesses were closed. To be safe I moved the car to their neighbors lot, which did not have any signs regarding parking.
The show had a DJ who played music. A stage area was in the parking area of one of the industrial units. An MC would make announcements. They even had a rapper named Nasdac sign a tune.
The show was oriented to the Tuner and Import community. Ertefa had their cars there. They were also at the ReStyleIt event earlier that day.
Many of the car on display were wrapped. Most had amazing mag wheels. The open engine bays showed much attention to detail.
One big Chrysler in a cream-white wrap had adjustable air lifts. The owner could raise the body way off the ground, or drop it down to hug the ground.
In the centre stage area they had a display of Trophies which were to be handed out later that day. The Trophies were made from lead crystal glass. All sorts of freebies were handed out. From T-Shirts to Shining Monkey Car Care products.
I shoot in Raw format and so have to process each posted photo. After post processing and posting a bunch of ReStyleIt Car Show pics, I have started to process and post the Summer Sizzle event photos to their own photo gallery.
Mark your calendars for next year. This was a well-organized Car Show. The autos were spread out along Don Park. Plenty of room for spectators to walk around. The grassy areas behind the cars made for a bit of a picnic atmosphere. Folks could sit around and chat on the grassy area, leaving the road for other spectators to freely look around.
The Summer Sizzle Car Show is an annual event. I’ll watch for it next year and try to give a heads up prior to the event. The Sun was out that day. I used to work at Esna Park and Steeles and so the day allowed me to revisit old memories, and establish new one of the Summer Sizzle Car Show.
