Vanessa Marie Carter in concert at the Beaches International Jazz Festival

Vanessa Marie Carter and her band recently played at Woodbine Park as part of the Beaches International Jazz Festival. They are a Country Band, playing a mix of their own tunes and covers of not so country bands like Fleetwood Mac.

Vanessa Marie Carter provided the strong Lead Vocals. Al Rowe does backup vocals and Guitar. In back is Rich DaSilva on Drums. Will Hebbes takes takes care of Lead Guitar. Bass is handled by Josh Patrick. While each member is a good musician, together they create a great sounding band.

Vanessa hails from Oakville. The band can sometimes be found playing a local Oakville hangout called the Moonshine Cafe at 137 Kerr St. Upcoming dates include July 25, Aug 29, Sep 19 and Oct 31. Well worth the trip to Oakville to catch this band.

They played a solid set a Woodbine Park. I’m not normally a Country Music fan, but I quite enjoyed their performance.
