In the age of the multi-millionaire CEO salaries, I was awe struck by Jeff Bezos’s salary of only $81,840 per year.

He is also allocated $1.6 Million for a Security Detail, but that is not part of his salary. Even the Security Detail figure is very low and responsible.

Actually all the top level Executives at Amazon get down to earth salaries of less than $200,000 per year each.

If the average company employee makes less than $100,000 per year, I could never understand how a Top Executive could get paid say $50,000,000 or more per year. The less than $100 thousand per year employee is productive in that they produce something which the company sells to bring in income. The CEO making $50 Million per year is a huge expense only, as they DO NOT produce anything, which the company can sell.

Jeff Bezos is the Richest Person on Planet Earth. His salary is not much more than the average salary of an Amazon.com employee. Jeff also wins at Income Tax Time because a lower salary means paying less Income Tax. Very smart on many counts.
