AMD held their first quarter Investor Conference call (Earnings call) in mid April 2015. Towards the end of that AMD Conference Call. Lisa Su, AMD President and CEO, stated:

“What we also are factoring in is, you know, with the Windows 10 launch at the end of July,”

Seeking Alpha, a great investing site has posted a transcript of that conference call. Lisa made that comment when replying to Harlan Sur of J.P. Morgan (on page 4 of that transcript).

LIsa Sue makes that statement around the 22:10 to 22:15 time mark of the April 16 2015 AMD Earnings Call available from the AMD.COM website.

A Windows 10 launch around the end of July is earlier than the Fall of 2015.Interesting news.

I had installed the first pre-Beta available of Windows 10 and was rather impressed. A bunch of Freeware software was installed,  because I figured those authors would not have the access to Microsoft Software Engineers that major Commercial Software Vendors would have. Everything installed and ran without a problem. I was pleasantly surprised.

We look forward to the potential launch of Windows 10, at the end of July 2015.
